There are certain things a person needs to know about how to take care of Carhartt flame resistant clothing. For any quilt lined item you should never dry clean them, and never use any type of bleach or softeners, although the material fields like it has starch in it, that is really the chemicals that were used when the material were treated, and you should never try to replace that stiffness with starch. When you are washing the items you should use a low heat (below 140 degrees). The same washing instructions are used for Twill lined, or unlined clothing as well, with the exception that these types of flame resistant clothing cannot exceed temperatures of 165 degrees.
